College: Southeastern Louisiana University

Acquired: Signed by the Gamblers on September 9, 1983

Pro Bio: Played in six games with the Gamblers in 1984 before being traded to the Jacksonville Bulls on April 18, 1984... Was also on the Gamblers developmental squad for two games...Had one interception for 18 yards with the club, and logged 10 solo tackles and nine assists.

Was a third round draft choice (68th player overall) of the New York Jets in the 1979 NFL Draft... Competed for the Jets from 1979-1981, where he played cornerback, nickelback and on special teams... Best year as a Jet was in 1980, when he started all 16 games and had five interceptions... Traded on August 25, 1982 to the San Diego Chargers for a conditional 1983 draft pick... Released by San Diego on September 19, 1982... Signed as a free agent by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on January 20, 1983.

College Bio: Four-year letter winner in both football and track at Southeastern Louisiana... Had a track scholarship and was a walk-on in football... Four-time All-American in track... Blocked 12 kicks and picked off six passes in his collegiate career... Set school and Louisiana State record with a long jump of 26-03, which was 17th best in the world in 1977... NAIA Division II outdoor champ as a sophmore... Also an outstanding competitor in the triple-jump.

Personal: Majored in criminal justice at SLU... Was involved in the NFL's Goals for Youths Tutorial Program... Competed in football and track at Hammond High School in Hammond, Louisiana... Enjoys swimming and track.
