Circa 1984-85

Here's one of the more interesting items in our team-used collection. Red was one of the Gamblers' team colors, but was primarily used for the team logo and as a highlight on player uniforms. The Gamblers did order a batch of red pullover sweaters, however, an example of which can be seen below.

A close-up of the embroidered Gamblers logo and name, which measures approx. 1 3/4 inches long by 2 inches high. The red logo, surrounded by red jersey fabric, doesn't have the striking appearance that the logo usually evokes when surrounded by black.

The LOGO 7, INC. manufacturer's tag, found in the neck of the sweater. The "large" size flag is sewn onto the right side of the LOGO 7 tag.

It seems the red sweaters were worn less-often than other staff garments. We have footage of offensive line coach Bob Young wearing a similar one, but definately not this one -- there's no way his arms would have fit into this!
